Helios embodied the sun in ancient Greek and Roman mythology. He was the great and glowing sun itself and the bringer of light and warmth. An ancient guardian of oaths and the god of sight, he shone upon the earth each day from a golden horse-drawn chariot that he rode across the sky. Helios was usually depicted full of youth and wearing a glowing crown that shone with the light of the sun. Inspired by these depictions the Helios Hoops are in the form of circlets that frame the ear with a sparkling halo.
